Music Mondays

This week we are highlighting an amazing West Coast rapper by the name of Nate Hall.  He's a 19 year old from Sacramento, California that currently resides in Chicago. This young revolutionary's musical influences  are Jay Electronica, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Tupac, and Lauryn Hill.

His lst mix-tape titled "Where I'm Comin From" is a laid back collection of songs that remind me of early 90's Conscious Hip Hop. The soulful compilation consists of songs that touch on social issues, self examination, and  the obligatory bombastic rhyming.

One of my favorite songs off the mix-tape is "Ode To Alcohol"

I asked Nate what was one thing he wanted to his listeners to know about him and "Where I'm Comin From"?

I want people to know the sincerity behind my words and intentions. To know I deeply care about all people especially the oppressed and in a lifetime my evolution as a man. I will take even greater strides to serve those who otherwise would have no voice. Hopefully they can find truth in what I speak and use it to formulate their own truth and pass on the love and good energy that I've created through poetry, music or any other way I choose to create change or hope.
