How To Tuesday: Blush

Blush is a great way to bring color to your face. The right shade can brighten, make your face appear more youthful and full of life. There are different formulas such as powders, creams, mousses, liquids, and gels. Within those categories some offer sheer, matte, shimmery, and dewy finishes.

Picking the right blush is just as important as choosing your right foundation. For beginners, I recommend a matte powder blush. An easy way to determine your shade is taking note of the color your skin turns when you are in fact blushing or red.

Being a woman of color, blushing may not come as easy so we should stay within the deep pinks, deep corals, medium to dark bronzes, reds, plums, oranges and peaches.

Here is a great video of how to apply blush with a great shade for women of color. Enjoy!!
